Privacy
Last updated 23 October 2026. ScreenShy is run by Ian McAteer, (not set yet), who is responsible for your data. Email hello@screenshy.com with any question or request.
What we keep and why
- Your email address and your confirmation that you are 18 or over, to run your account and send sign-in links.
- Your scripts, pictures and videos, to make and deliver your videos. They are deleted after 30 days.
- Your credits and purchases, to keep your balance and give refunds.
- Which link or ad brought you (the campaign tags in the address), to count visits, sign-ups, videos and payments per campaign.
Cookies
We set two first-party cookies and nothing for advertisers. vid records which link or ad brought you; choose "Don't count my visit" on the notice and we delete that record and the cookie. sid keeps you signed in and is needed for the service to work.
Who else handles your data
- fal.ai (United States) runs the AI models that turn your script into a video, and receives your script and scene descriptions. We ask fal not to store requests; its data-processing terms cover UK and EU data protection.
- Stripe and Link take payments; Link is the merchant of record and collects any tax. We never see your card.
- Our hosting and email providers, to run the site and send sign-in links.
Some of these are outside Australia, mainly in the United States; we use providers whose terms protect your data to a comparable standard.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and everything in it, by emailing hello@screenshy.com. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), or, if you live in the UK or EU, to your local data protection authority.
